1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CraftsCall (“the Platform”), operated by CraftsCall Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
CraftsCall is a marketplace connecting clients (homeowners, landlords, and property managers) with independent tradespeople (workers). We facilitate job posting, matching, booking, payment processing, and in-app communication. CraftsCall does not employ workers and is not a party to the service agreement between clients and workers.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may not use another person’s account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Client Terms
Clients pay a first-hour fee plus a platform service fee at the time of booking. Payment is held securely and released to the worker after job completion, subject to a 24-hour dispute window. Clients may open a dispute if they are unsatisfied with the service. Refunds are issued at CraftsCall’s discretion based on the outcome of the dispute.
5. Worker Terms
Workers are independent contractors, not employees of CraftsCall. Workers must maintain an active subscription, complete identity verification, and set up Stripe Connect for payouts. Workers must complete jobs they accept and maintain professional conduct. CraftsCall reserves the right to suspend workers who fail to meet quality standards.
6. Payments and Fees
All payments are processed through Stripe. Pricing is displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD). The first-hour rate is $139.00, the platform service fee is $19.00, and workers receive $110.00 per completed booking. Worker subscriptions are billed monthly at the selected tier rate. All fees are subject to change with notice.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Bookings may be cancelled before the worker marks “en route” for a full refund. Once the worker is en route or on site, cancellation refunds are handled through the dispute process. Worker payouts are held for 24 hours after job completion to allow time for disputes.
8. Reviews
Reviews must be honest, based on actual bookings, and free from harassment or discriminatory language. CraftsCall reserves the right to moderate and remove reviews that violate these standards.
9. Limitation of Liability
CraftsCall acts as a marketplace and is not liable for the quality of work performed by independent workers. Our liability is limited to the fees paid to CraftsCall (not the full booking amount). We are not responsible for property damage, personal injury, or consequential damages arising from services booked through the Platform.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and technology on the Platform are owned by CraftsCall Inc. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of St. John’s, NL.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
