CraftsCall Inc. (“CraftsCall”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services. This policy complies with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information We Collect

- Profile information: address, business name (workers), bio
- Verification documents: government-issued ID, licences, insurance certificates (workers)
- Job details: descriptions, photos, location
- Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store card numbers
- Communications: messages sent through the in-app chat
- Reviews: ratings and written feedback

- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the CraftsCall platform
- To match clients with nearby qualified tradespeople using location data
- To process payments and payouts through Stripe
- To verify worker identity and qualifications
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, status updates, payout notifications)
- To moderate reviews and resolve disputes
- To improve our services and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Between booking participants: When a booking is confirmed, the client and worker can see each other’s name and communicate via in-app chat. Full addresses are shared only as needed for the job.
- Service providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and auth), Resend (email), Mapbox (geocoding). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request.
- Safety: When necessary to protect the safety of users, the public, or CraftsCall.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. Verification documents are stored in private encrypted storage buckets.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or audit purposes. Audit logs and admin notes are retained indefinitely for platform safety.
6. Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information held by CraftsCall
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies may be used to understand platform usage and are not used to identify individual users.
8. Children
CraftsCall is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
